He is also a coach and mentor on steps needed to license products He has sold/licensed approximately 9 of his own inventions to major manufacturers. Located in houston, TX, however, will work with clients all around the country via the Internet. Mike started his design career in the summer of 1986 as the first design intern at LITTLE TIKES TOY COMPANY in Hudson, Ohio. In 1988, he interned at BALLY DESIGN in Pittsburgh, Pa. Graduating in 1989 from CARNEGIE MELLON UNIVERSITY, he won the prestigious IDSA Student Merit Award. After graduation, he was hired by BMT, Breslow, Morrison, Terzian, a toy invention company in Chicago, IL, now known as BIG MONSTER TOYS. In his first eighteen months, two of his inventions were sold, a game "TORNADO REX" to PARKER BROTHERS which received a mechanical patent, and the "BATMAN SKYBLADE" to KENNER, both of which were manufactured and sold to the domestic and foreign markets. In time, Mike moved to Houston, TX and started his own business firm, BRITE IDEAS. He has invented and sold/licensed numerous toys, as well as lawn and garden products, to HASBRO, FISHER-PRICE, STEP-2, DSI, CALIFORNIA CREATIONS AND REALAID INC, for whom he obtained a patent on a medical product. He does illustrations for sell sheets, reports, renderings, drawings for patents, logos and graphics all on computer, as well as prototyping, product design, and invention development for manufacture in all markets. |

A few years ago, one of Mike's clients, Ginelle Mills, for whom he provided early development concept drawings, appeared on SHARK TANK with her "COOL WAZOO" and received an investment by the sharks. The "COOL WAZOO", is a 5-in-1 baby pad that functions as a heat shield for hot car seats and swings, large diaper changing surface, restaurant high chair cover, and grocery cart cover. Recently, Mike produced an early development concept design/ sell sheet for another client, Nate Eaton, for a water toy invention.
Nate entered his "Water Dodger" invention in ABC's tv show: "The Toy Box" contest where aspiring entrepreneur-contestants present toy inventions to panels of both children and toy industry professionals. After playing with dozens of toys throughout season 2 of the show, the judges voted his invention as the winner during the grand finale, and Nate won a deal with Mattel Toy Company, who produced the toy product known as the: |

Mike's latest invention development project to go to market is the MuVi Seat Holster - a smart phone accessory that attaches to most train, automobile, and airplane seatbacks and allows you watch videos, play music, and browse files easily using your iPhone, iPod Touch, Zune, Blackberry, and other similar devices, while keeping your tray and lap area clear.
